9. Requirements for membership in Expert Medical Consultants, Inc.

Membership and certification as a consultant approved by Expert Medical Consultants. Inc. is voluntary and by application only.  Requirements for membership include the following:

1. Board certification in an approved specialty approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties with completion of any required continuing medical education.  Allied Health Specialties that do not have a board certification process will have the criteria for expert credentials established by the specific committee representing that specialty within Expert Medical Consultants, Inc. in consultation with the relevant national specialty organization(s) of that discipline.  In addition, all memberships are subject to approval and suspension by the Board of Directors of Expert Medical Consultants, Inc. as its exclusive authority.
2. Membership in good standing the relevant national medical specialty organization of the applicant
3. State medical licensure
4. State and county of residence medical association membership where applicable
5. Initial and periodic review and approval by the Board of Directors of EMC
6. Signing the non-litigation clauses of Expert Medical Consultants, Inc.
7. Periodic payment of all dues
